I’ve been playing a similar deck. I’ve chosen to skip the 2-drop, e.g. Spreading Seas, Wall of Omens, and Ponder. I’m packing more white removals, e.g. 3x Wall of Denial, 4x Path to Exile, +1x Day of Judgment, and 3x Oblivion Ring main deck.
And, I’m playing 3x Sphinx of Lost Truths & 4x See Beyond, since both of them are great with Emrakul in hand. I’m playing with 3x Emrakul, yet I still get blanks frequently while performing the Ultimatum. Yet, it’s a very fun deck to play. Brilliant deck is my favorite deck for standard at the moment.
On another note, I’ve been tinkering with another list that mixes Brilliant Ultimatum with Hellcarver Demon. During my initial testing, the Demon is quite good.
Anyway, congrats for the Top 8!
